EBRD Board Directors to visit Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic

Great Britain helped to improve the irrigation of 600 hectares in the Kadamjay region

The seasonal shortage of irrigation water in the Aiyl Aymak of Birlik, Kadamjay district of Batken oblast, was solved with the help of the Aga Khan Foundation's project “Improving Stability and Better Natural Resources Management in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan”, and implemented with the support of the British Government (UK Aid).

EBRD, EU and EIB help improve water services in small Kyrgyz communities

New equipment delivered to the city of Cholpon Ata. Over 19,000 citizens of the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon Ata will have regular access to safe drinking water and improved wastewater services thanks to a joint investment in the amount of €5.1 million provided by the EBRD, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Union (EU).
