Driver/Maintenance Officer

The OSCE Academy in Bishkek is a public foundation, created in 2002 as a result of the partnership between the Kyrgyz Government and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The OSCE Academy promotes values and principles of the OSCE through research, post-graduate education, professional trainings, and intellectual exchange. Driver/Maintenance Officer is expected to:

• Perform daily safe transportation of the Academy’s staff and courier services for official correspondence;
• Follow safety regulations and ensure compliance with traffic laws;
• Ensure office vehicles are in proper operational condition and monitor timely payment of transport taxes;
• Arrange cleaning and routine maintenance of the vehicles;
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logbooks;
• Carry out seasonal maintenance of the garden;
• Perform daily cleaning of the outdoor premises and surrounding territory;
• Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical outlets, ceiling lights, door locks, classroom equipment (whiteboards, projectors), plumbing, and urgent cosmetic repairs;
• Assist the administration department with the procurement of goods;
• Provide technical support during events and for projects, including furniture and inventory transportation;
• Prepare requests for purchasing necessary supplies and equipment;
• Participate in budget planning for maintenance and transportation needs;
• Support overall maintenance of office premises and infrastructure.

Qualifications and eligibility:

• Secondary vocational education, higher education is an asset;
• Fluency in Russian language, good command of English and Kyrgyz languages ​​(is an asset);
• PC user (knowledge of MS Office programs, ability to use e-mail, office equipment, Internet);
• Valid driver's license category B, C, D. Driving experience of at least 3 years.
• A developed sense of responsibility, sociability, the ability to maintain business communication, absence of bad habits, proper sports shape, age from 25-50 years;
• Lack of criminal record;
• Ability to work independently and in a team;
• Analytical skills for information processing;
• Work experience in the relevant field for at least 3 years.
