On November 15, 2023, at the Ministry of Energy, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Energy Baigaziev Talaibek, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Lee Won-jae, and the Country Director of the KOICA representative office Yi Jongsu, a signing ceremony was held for the Protocol of Discussion on the project “Development of national centralized AMI system for improving energy system of the Kyrgyz Republic.”
This project will be implemented by KOICA jointly with the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Within this project, a centralized AMI system will be developed for 1.5 million smart meters, and the operation center will be built, etc. We hope that the implementation of this project will improve the efficiency of the power distribution system and reduce the level of losses in power lines.
