Acceleration Analyst

Reports to: Chief Investment Officer, Accelerate Prosperity, Kyrgyz Republic  

Location: Bishkek (with frequent travels to regions)  

About Accelerate Prosperity 

Accelerate Prosperity (AP) is a new regional initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Central and South Asia, which provides a formal structure to catalyze enterprises where economic opportunities remain insufficient. AP's mission is to inspire rising entrepreneurs in emerging regions to grow new markets, create sustainable employment, and strengthen communities, with a focus on youth and women in towns and rural areas. Through patient capital and tailored technical assistance and business advisory to startups and existing businesses, AP inspires entrepreneurship by offering lean startup incubation, preparing promising enterprises for investment, facilitating mentorship, and enabling access to impact investments and bank financing.   

As an Acceleration Analyst with AP, he/she will be mainly responsible for the preparation, organization, and coordination of the acceleration programs, the key activity at AP aimed to ensure SGBs’ business growth and scaling. He/she will partake in expertise structuring and developing a comprehensive training program, tailored for acceleration program participants’ needs. He/she will also elaborate with selected entrepreneurs and provide comprehensive support to them in undergoing an intensive business training, becoming investment ready, as well as preparing for the Demo Day, the graduation event of the acceleration program that engages AP’s partners, representatives of various financial institutions, and other AP stakeholders.  

Job Responsibilities: 

• Support acceleration program outreach and selection process, expertise structuring, content, and curriculum development;
• Support the design and delivery of acceleration cohorts with a technology/IT focus, adapting program content and curriculum to the needs of tech-enabled startups;
• Build and maintain engagement with the IT/tech startup ecosystem to strengthen AP’s pipeline of tech-enabled applicants and partnerships;
• Conduct evaluation and analysis of the program, experts, trackers, guest speakers, and mentors' performance;
• Support in developing AP-led program sessions and facilitating external parties’ sessions;
• Lead pitching sessions and organization of Demo Days;
• Elaborate with acceleration program participants to help develop pitching materials, prepare for Demo Day, and enable them to become investment ready;
• Organize online and/or offline acceleration program, including execution of related administrative and logistic tasks;
• Support in the execution of the mentorship program, support entrepreneurs and mentors in the process;
• Support M&E functions and reporting in regard to acceleration activities;
• Monitor accelerated SGBs and elaborate on AP data analytics;
• Support accelerated SGBs in further engagement/capacity building to promote new market linkages within the AP alumni network, as well as with follow-on investors;
• Work with partners and working groups on AP Activities in related sectors;
• Support in work with AKDN stakeholders around strategic direction, governance, and investment decisions;
• Support in gathering and analyzing information, data, and findings from AKDN experts/external partners, and communicating recommendations for various business development and investment projects;
• Coordinate recruitment, contracting, and collaboration with experts, trackers, guest speakers, and mentors to develop program sessions and training materials. 

Required Qualifications and Experience:  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field;
• At least 1-3 years of experience in project management, program & product development, startup operations, or other relevant experience; 
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, writing reports, and conducting analysis;
• Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills either in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities;
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset and attitude: e.g., developing new strategies, processes, and capacities for startup phase or early-stage enterprises or initiatives, and leadership capacities in challenging environments that need flexibility and adaptation;
• Experience with, or strong interest in, the tech/IT startup ecosystem (e.g., prior work with a startup, accelerator, incubator, VC, or tech community) is an advantage;
• Existing network within, or exposure to, the Kyrgyz/Central Asian tech and startup community is an advantage;
• Advanced working proficiency in Russian, Kyrgyz, and English (spoken and written) is required.
