The objective of this activity is to develop a comprehensive analytical and practice-oriented foundation for the decarbonization of the cement sector of the Kyrgyz Republic through 2030 by preparing an integrated report and a sectoral roadmap reflecting realistic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction scenarios for the industry, key barriers and enabling measures, as well as co-benefits related to improved air quality and public health outcomes. Particular attention will be given to ensuring the practical alignment of the proposed solutions with the goals, indicators, and priorities of the third Nationally Determined Contribution, NDC 3.0, of the Kyrgyz Republic. The activity also aims to strengthen the capacities of government institutions, industry stakeholders, and other relevant actors through training and consultation activities, while taking into account gender considerations, national data, and international experience.

REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in engineering, energy, industrial ecology, or related technical fields.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in the industrial sector of the Kyrgyz Republic with a focus on industrial process analysis and/or energy efficiency and/or decarbonization.
  • Experience in developing analytical documents: in the Industrial Process and Product Use (IPPU) and/or in cement sector .
  • Experience in greenhouse gas emission calculations and/or emission reduction scenarios.
  • Language skills: fluency in Russian.
