The OSCE Academy in Bishkek is a public foundation, established in 2002 by the Kyrgyz Government and the
Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The OSCE Academy promotes the principles and values of the OSCE through post-graduate education, professional training, advanced research, and intellectual exchange. Its demanding MA programmes in the fields of “Economic Governance and Development” and “Politics and Security (Central Asia)” on a competitive basis enroll a total of up to 60 young professionals per year, from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The OSCE Academy in Bishkek is seeking applications for Instructor(s) to teach the following 2-credit course Academic Writing and AI Literacy: Summer School (3 - 28 August 2026): for newly admitted MA students of the Economic Governance and Development programme; Autumn Term (1 September - 31 October 2026): for newly admitted MA students of the Politics and Security (Central Asia) programme.
Course Description: The course Academic Writing and AI Literacy introduces students to core principles of academic writing at the graduate level. It focuses on developing clear and structured academic communication, critical engagement with scholarly sources, and responsible use of generative AI tools in academic work. Students will learn how to develop well-structured academic texts, formulate clear arguments supported by evidence, apply academic integrity standards in written work, use generative AI tools responsibly and transparently, and critically evaluate and verify AI-generated content. This course is designed as an introductory graduate-level module. Specific teaching responsibilities and detailed course design will be discussed with the Head of the Department of Graduate Education at the OSCE Academy upon selection. Requirements: MA degree (PhD preferred) in Social Sciences, Linguistics, Education, or a related field; Demonstrated teaching experience, including the use of e-learning platforms; Excellent command of academic English; Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Please note that the OSCE Academy does not cover travel costs, accommodation, health insurance, or expenses for accompanying family members. However, the Academy provides non-financial support, including assistance with visa and work permit procedures, travel arrangements to Bishkek, and guidance in finding housing in the city.
