Nonprofit Management Resource Centers to Open in Suluktu and Kyzyl-Kiya

Batken Oblast –Batken State University inaugurates two new Nonprofit Management (NPM) Resource Centers at its affiliate branches - Suluktu Regional Institute and Kyzyl-Kiya Multidisciplinary Institute - on February 6 and 9, 2018 respectively. The Resource Centers will provide informational and consultative support on nonprofit management issues. The Resource Center will also serve as a platform for guest lectures, conferences and discussions on different topics.

These are the seventh and the eighth NPM Resource Centers opened and coordinated by the PU “Association of Nonprofit Management Educators” with the support of the USAID Collaborative Governance Program.

Leadership of Batken State University, professors and students, and representatives of Batken Oblast government agencies, the USAID Collaborative Governance Program, and civil society organizations will participate in the inauguration ceremonies.

Similar NPM Resource Centers exist at universities in Osh, Naryn, Jalal-Abad, Talas, Batken and Bishkek cities. These centers have hosted over 80 guest lectures, 15 professional development workshops, where the syllabi of 6 NPM courses were developed.

The Collaborative Governance Program (CGP) promotes effective collaboration between civil society, the private sector, and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and is implemented by East-West Management Institute (EWMI).
