EDB to take part in the EBRD Annual Meeting in London
Almaty, 17 May 2012. The Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) delegation headed by Igor Finogenov, Chairman of the Executive Board, will take part in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Annual Meeting which will take place in London on 18-19 May 2012. EDB’s delegation includes Dmitry Zhurba and Sergey Shatalov, Deputy Chairmen of the Executive Board, Evgeny Vinokurov, Director of the EDB Centre for Integration Studies, and other representatives of the Bank.
Switzerland renovates two boarding schools in the south of Kyrgyzstan
Today, on 16th May 2012, the inauguration event took place marking the completion of the renovation work at the Oktyabr boarding school of the Suzak rayon in the Jalalabad oblast. Another inauguration is planned for the next day, 17th May, at the Karasuu boarding school for hearing-impaired children in the Osh oblast.

The first review of our economic and financial program, supported by an arrangement under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF), was completed by the IMF Executive Board on December 7, 2011. We are grateful to the IMF for its continued support of our economic reform program. The ECF continues to play a pivotal role in our efforts to restore and maintain macroeconomic stability and promote inclusive growth in a low inflation environment after the deep political crisis in 2010.
